Tour Guide at Alfred University

Hometown: Sauquoit, NY

Major: Philosophy of Religions

Minor: Cultural Anthropology

One piece of advice that I would give to incoming students is..

Time management is key! With so many options for how to spend your time between academics, extra curricular activities and plain human maintenance it can become difficult to find the space for everything in a day and quickly become overwhelmed. Simple tricks like making daily schedules or to do lists can help ease the anxiety that so often comes with big life changes.

My favorite spot on campus is...

The tree forts in the woods by the Ade parking lot. During the fall when the leaves are full, you can see out onto the campus but are completely covered high up in the trees!

My favorite thing about Alfred is...

The diversity. The community of Alfred achieves a remarkable thing with its ability to wrap every individual in a nonconformist blanket of inclusivity not only during their time here but for life! Alfred University and the residents have succeeded in creating a place with a positive atmosphere that manages to connect people in so many aspects.

My favorite class at Alfred University is...

Ethics with Professor Emrys Westacott. It single handedly made the decision for me to change my major and pursue philosophy because I really enjoyed the development of critical thought encouraged by dissecting individually composed ideologies of life.

I'm passionate about...

Nature Animals
