Tour Guide at Alfred University

Hometown: Walton, NY
Concentration: International Relations
Secondary Major: Global Studies
Minor: Cultural Anthropology
The friendly environment and friends I've made (students and faculty) are definitely my favorite things about Alfred. The people and community make you feel like you belong, like you're at home.
Don't be afraid to branch out and try new things. There are so many clubs and activities on campus that you may never have thought to attend, but try!
It's impossible to pick just one class. My professors and classmates make going to class enjoyable and the course content is always interesting and related to the outside world.
I always have a schedule. I keep a planner filled with all my responsibilities with reminders and notes. I designate time to work on different assignments and projects as well as leave time open to relax. This helps prevent leaving work until the last minute or worrying about a time crunch.
